We are currently reviewing potential cases relating to the following:

Bard IVC Filter – we are reviewing cases that have to do with the Bard IVC filter fracturing and/or migrating through the inferior vena cava, causing serious injury, and some times death.

Yaz/Yasmin Birth Control – lawsuits have been filed against Bayer, the manufacturer of Yaz and Yasmin, for failing to disclose the increased risk of pulmonary embolisms, deep vein thrombosis, and gall bladder disease.  We are actively investigating these types of cases.

Infuse Bone Graft – Medtronic is currently being investigated for improper promotion of the Infuse Bone Graft for off-label usage.  We are currently investigating cases where injury occurred due to off-label usage.

DePuy ASR Hip Replacement Recall – we are reviewing potential cases involving the DePuy ASR XL Acetabular System, as many of these devices have been causing major problems for patients who received these devices.  In addition to the DePuy ASR XL Acetabular System, we are also reviewing potential claims involving DePuy ASR Hip Resurfacing System. Both of these hip replacements were recalled in August 2010 after studies showed that they were more than twice as likely to fail as similar hip replacements.

Pradaxa – we are reviewing potential Pradaxa lawsuits against the makers of this blood thinner, which may cause an increased chance of internal bleeding.

DePuy Pinnacle Hip Replacement – we are currently reviewing potential claims against DePuy Orthopaedics and its parent company, Johnson & Johnson, for their DePuy Pinnacle Hip Replacement.

Topamax – we are currently reviewing potentials cases involving women who took Topamax during pregnancy, and gave birth to babies with birth defects, such as cleft lip and cleft palate.

Actos Bladder Cancer – we are currently reviewing potential claims against the makers of Actos, which has been prescribed as a safer alternative to Avandia, but has recently shown to cause an increased chance of bladder cancer when taken for a prolonged periods of time.

Propecia Side Effects – we are currently reviewing a potential claim against Merck, the manufacturers of Propecia (finasteride), which is prescribed to treat men with male pattern baldness, but has serious sexual side effects.

Vaginal Mesh we are currently reviewing cases involving transvaginal surgical mesh complications.

Zoloft – Kogan & Associates is currently talking with women who took Zoloft during pregnancy and had babies with heart defects.
