Pradaxa Lawsuits Filed

Pradaxa is a blood thinner used to prevent strokes and blood clots in patients with atrial fibrillation.  The FDA is currently reviewing Pradaxa’s safety, after numerous reports of increased side effects.  The first three Pradaxa lawsuits (based on “failure to warn”) have been filed against the drug maker Boehringer Ingelheim in Louisiana, Tennessee, and Kentucky federal courts.  The Pradaxa lawsuits claim that Boehringer Ingelheim failed to warn about the risk of fatal bleeding.

  • Lege et al. vs. Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc., et al. (filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana)
